Hiiiii. My name is Julian. I am 12 years old and I am the youngest of 3 boys. I was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 2 ½. Although I am considered non-verbal, I can sure let people know what I want because I have a vocabulary of about 50 very important words.
I spend most of my time on the Internet, flipping through Disney movies or anything having a fun musical theme or looking at a book oh and I especially love rockets, I love to wear the Mr. Incredible costume too. I love the count down, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, blast off. You get it.
I love to eat pizza, waffles and quesadillas and especially drink juice. I am quirky with the sounds and movements I make, but it's ok, you may be quirky in your own way too. I am not judging you.
Sometimes I can't handle too much noise, people or just being confused and I need a break and that's when things get hard for me; I can’t explain that I need a break, I become overwhelmed and can turn into the incredible Hulk, then I come back down being myself in an instant or it can last longer. I don't know why.
I'd like people to know that I am a human being living with a developmental delay ,aka autism, and I deserve to be treated with respect and understanding. Most of us just want to be accepted and not disrespected.
